Parallel Session 1

Is Sport for All really for All?

Session schedule

Thursday, November 2

Session starts at

11:00

While the concept of Sport for All is set to be inclusive by definition, physical activity rates show that participation remains lower in some population groups and minorities despite efforts to provide more opportunities. Making sport open and free to all does not mean it’s accessible, welcoming, or adequately tailored to suit the needs of everyone. How can we engage these population groups and minorities at all levels, learn from their respective experiences, and rethink the design of policy, programmes and events to make Sport for All really for all?
